Hoppe Manual Four Roller Gear, 1-3/4" (45mm) Backset with 1/2 Inch Deadbolt Throw

This is the bottom gear of a Hoppe HLS9000 four roller lock, supplied with the bottom extension carrying its two rollers.

A roller is an adjustable cam, not a fixed bolt. It rides into a keeper on the jamb and a hex wrench turns it in or out to set how hard the door pulls against the weatherseal. The four roller strip carries two on the bottom gear and two on the top extension, which is two more locking points than the two roller version and, just as usefully, two more places to take up a door that has moved.

Manual operation. Lifting the handle throws every locking point on the strip at once; the key throws the deadbolt separately.

• Backset: 1-3/4" (45mm), measured from the edge of the door panel to the center of the handle spindle
• Deadbolt throw: 1/2" (14mm)
• Handle height: 36" (914mm), measured from the bottom of the door to the center of the handle spindle
• Bottom roller positions: 15-3/4" (400mm) and 29-1/2" (750mm) below the handle
• Faceplate: 5/8" (16mm) wide, stainless steel
• Maximum cutoff: 2-3/8" (60mm)

• Bottom gear with its two roller bottom extension. Top extensions are ordered separately.
