Accessibility Statement

Last updated October 18, 2026.

We want everyone to be able to find a part, read about it and order it on MultipointDoorHardware.com, whatever assistive technology they use. This page says what we do, where the site falls short, and how to reach a person who can help.

Our goal

We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. Those guidelines cover people with visual, hearing, motor and cognitive disabilities, and following them makes the site easier for everyone.

What we do

  • You can reach every part of the site, including the menus, search, product pages, the cart and the checkout, with a keyboard alone.
  • We use plain HTML structure and write alt text on product and page images so screen readers can describe them.
  • We keep text and background colors at the contrast WCAG AA asks for.
  • Text can be enlarged to 200% in your browser without losing content or function.
  • Pages use clear headings, labeled form fields and link text that says where the link goes.
  • The site works on phones and tablets, including with touch-based assistive technology.
  • We test the site with automated accessibility tools and by keyboard, and fix what we find in the parts we control.

Where the site falls short

The site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: some content does not yet meet every criterion. An automated audit of the home page, a collection page, a brand page, a product page, the contact, Identify My Part and questionnaire pages, the cart and search on October 18, 2026 found and fixed problems with unnamed buttons, heading order, landmarks, link color, hidden slides that could still take focus, and focus in the phone menu. What remains:

  • The photo upload form on Identify My Part is a third-party tool inside a frame, with its own accessibility limits that we cannot change. The multipoint lock questionnaire, which asks the same questions without photos, is our own form and is fully labeled.
  • A few product tiles repeat the product name in the image description, which a screen reader reads twice.
  • The checkout and the customer account pages are provided by Shopify, and we rely on Shopify for their accessibility.
  • Some older product images still carry short alt text; we improve them as we rebuild each range.
  • Downloadable files, such as manufacturer drawings, may not be fully accessible. Ask us and we will describe the content or send it another way.
  • We have tested with automated tools and by keyboard; a full screen-reader review is the next step, and we will update this page when it is done.

Assistive technology the site is tested with

  • Screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack.
  • Browser zoom up to 200% in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
  • Keyboard-only navigation with Tab, Enter and the arrow keys.
  • Voice control such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking and Voice Control on macOS and iOS.
