Columbus 2-D Replacement Set Hinge for Windsor and Superior Doors
Antique brass is discontinued. We are selling the last of our antique brass set hinges. Once they are gone we cannot get more, and antique brass is non-returnable.
When your door drops and the latch side starts to catch the frame, you raise it at the set hinge, and this one replaces the Columbus 2-D set hinge.
You'll find the adjusting screw in the middle of the three holes at one end of the thick leaf, beside an arrow mark. Before you turn it, prop the door on a block of wood or have someone lift it, so the hinge isn't carrying the weight. Then turn the screw with a hand Phillips screwdriver, because a drill or power driver can strip it.
Set the height here first, then even out the side gaps at the guide hinges. Most doors take one set hinge between two guide hinges.
If you find Pat.Nr. 5701636 stamped on your old hinge, check the size and the screw holes before you order, because HTL Ultimate and Millennium hinges carry the same patent number. This hinge is 4" tall and 3-5/8" wide open, and a Millennium hinge is 4" x 4". On the thick leaf of this hinge you'll see two screw holes side by side at the top and two at the bottom. On HTL and Millennium hinges, those holes zigzag up the leaf.
