Columbus 2-D Replacement Guide Hinge for Windsor and Superior Doors

Antique brass is discontinued. We can no longer get the antique brass guide hinge, so choose one of the other finishes.

If your door hangs on Columbus 2-D hinges, this is the replacement for the guide hinges at the top and the bottom, in polished brass, satin nickel, white or black.

With the door open, you turn the Phillips screw in the oval slot halfway up the thick leaf to move the door sideways. Use a hand screwdriver, because a drill or power driver can strip the screw.

Most doors take two guide hinges, one at the top and one at the bottom, with a set hinge between them. Some large doors take three guide hinges.

If you find Pat.Nr. 5701636 stamped on your old hinge, check the size and the screw holes before you order, because HTL Ultimate and Millennium hinges carry the same patent number. This hinge is 4" tall and 3-5/8" wide open, and a Millennium hinge is 4" x 4". On the thick leaf of this hinge you'll see two screw holes side by side at the top and two at the bottom. On HTL and Millennium hinges, those holes zigzag up the leaf.
