Pella Adjustable Door Hinge for Architect, Designer and ProLine Hinged Doors

Open your Pella French or patio door and look at the hinge leaf on the door edge. If you see a small screw in the middle, inside a curved arrow marked + and -, with one screw above it and one below, this is your hinge.

You turn that center screw to move the door sideways in its frame. Pella's instructions say to keep the top and bottom screws tight while you turn it, and to stop at 3/4 turn either way.

You can replace one worn hinge and keep the others. If your door leaf shows three screws and no + and - marks, you have a plain Pella hinge: see our polished brass Pella door hinge for doors made from 2001 to 2006.

• Adjustment: Center screw on the door leaf. Clockwise (+) moves the door away from the hinge jamb, counterclockwise (-) toward it, at most 3/4 turn either way
