Marvin Active Concealed Multipoint Door Lock - 60mm Backset, 1 Inch Deadbolt

Take the handle set off the active panel of a Marvin Ultimate inswing French door and this is the case sitting in the mortise behind it. The lever drives the latch and a pair of concealed rods that run up into the head and down into the sill, and the key or thumbturn throws the deadbolt on its own. That is why the panel pulls tight along its full height rather than only at the middle.

The rods catch people out. They screw into 1/4-20 couplings at the top and bottom of the case and they are not supplied with the lock, so if yours are bent or the end bolts are chewed up, put them on the same order. The faceplate is separate too, part 56-110.

Ashland builds this case for Marvin, who list it as 05700130; Truth's number for it is W5100STACT5. Marvin fitted it to Ultimate inswing and outswing French doors from January 2000 onward. Integrity doors run a different system on a 45mm backset and will not take this case, so check which Marvin line you have before ordering.

Handing is not something you need to specify. The lock arrives non-handed and reverses on the bench in a few minutes; the third photo above is the handing diagram.
