Hoppe Manual Two Roller Top Extension, 54-15/16" (1395mm)

This is the top section of a Hoppe HLS9000 two roller lock strip. It carries the drive bar up the door to the second adjustable roller. To check the size, measure your old faceplate from end to end and compare it with the overall length in the Notes.

A roller is an adjustable cam, not a fixed bolt. It rides into a keeper on the jamb and a hex wrench turns it in or out to change how hard the door pulls against the weatherseal. On a two roller strip there are two of them, one on the gear and one on the top extension, so the pressure can be set separately at the bottom and the top of the door.

Manual means you lift the handle to throw the locking points and turn the key for the deadbolt. The automatic version carries a third small roller about 6-1/2" (165mm) above the lever that fires the lock as the door closes; if your gear has only the one locking roller, this is the range you want.
