G-U Wolverine Active Shootbolt Lock, 45mm Backset, Stainless Faceplate

Same Wolverine gear as the GU-854-10572, same 45mm backset, same 35 inch handle height. The faceplate is stainless steel instead of silver, and that changes which companion parts you order.

The top shootbolt for this one is GU-854-10886, not the GU-854-14426 that goes with the silver version. Order the wrong finish and the strip will not match down the edge of the door, which is obvious the moment the door stands open. Stainless screws are GU-854-11103.

Operation is manual. Lift the handle to drive the bottom shootbolt into the sill and the top one into the head, then turn the key for the deadbolt. Both bolts are height adjustable, so a panel that has moved over the years can be brought back into line without touching the door itself.

Included is the gear and the bottom shootbolt with its stainless faceplate. Nothing else.

Panels taller than 81 inches need an extension between the gear and the top shootbolt. Call 727-386-4629 and we will sort that part out with you.

Plan on modifying the strike plate holes. Replacing an older lock with this one almost always means opening them up for the new latch and deadbolt.
