G-U Ferco Replacement Shootbolt Lock, 50mm Backset, 20mm Faceplate

The replacement for the old style G-U shootbolt lock, and the one to reach for when the strip in your door is 20mm wide rather than 16mm. Measure the faceplate across its width before anything else: 20mm is 25/32 of an inch, and a 16mm strip will not fill a pocket routed for it.

Commonly found on Superior doors, and on other builders' doors from the same era that used the old G-U gear.

Lift the handle and shootbolts drive into the head and sill while the deadbolt throws in the middle. Unusually for this range, the top shootbolt is included, so the lock is complete for a door up to 81 inches. Taller panels take the extension 56-552, which is also 20mm.
