Measure from the handle spindle down to the lower hook and up to the upper one, and check the overall length against your door.

A swing hook is a curved steel claw that rotates out of the lock strip and catches behind a keeper in the jamb, then draws the door in as the handle finishes its lift. That pulling action is what a hook does that a tongue or a bolt cannot: it compresses the weatherseal rather than just filling a slot. It retracts flush the moment you open the door, so the edge stays clean.

Manual operation. Lifting the handle rotates every hook out at once; the key throws the deadbolt separately.

Notes

Overall length: 77-7/8"

Backset: 1-3/4" (45mm), measured from the edge of the door panel to the center of the handle spindle

Deadbolt throw: 1" (25mm)

Handle height: 36" (914mm), measured from the bottom of the door to the center of the handle spindle

Bottom hook position: 26-1/8" (664mm) below the handle

Top hook position: 24-3/16" (615mm) above the handle

Faceplate: 5/8" (16mm) wide, stainless steel

Hoppe code: M/45/25 914 SW0664 SWO615 16S

One piece assembly.
